I am a school counselor with nine years of experience in education, including classroom teaching and school counseling. I hold two master’s degrees: a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Reading Instruction and a Master’s in School Counseling.
My background in education includes experience in Waldorf education, which strengthened my ability to build strong, meaningful connections with students and support them in their individual learning journeys. I have worked closely with students to understand their strengths, needs, and goals, helping them develop confidence and stay on a clear path toward academic and personal success.
As a school counselor, I have supported students and families in academic planning, social-emotional development, behavior support, and post-secondary readiness. My approach centers on helping students build self-awareness, responsibility, and clear academic and personal goals within a supportive, structured, and accountable environment.
I also spent a year teaching English in Spain, which deepened my cultural responsiveness and strengthened my ability to work effectively with multilingual and diverse learners. I especially enjoy building connections with students through shared cultural experiences, including learning about traditions and foods like arroz con leche, which helped me foster meaningful engagement and rapport.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to helping students grow in environments that are structured, supportive, and centered on both academic and personal success. I truly enjoy working with students and families, and I welcome connection—please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to help!
