I am excited to be joining the Elevated Charter School team! I earned my BS in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University and my MEd from Utah State University. I also completed endorsements in Reading, Math, Math Specialist, English as a Second Language, and a certification in education administration.

I taught 3rd and 4th grade in Box Elder School District for 18 years and I worked for one year with 6th, 7th and 8th graders at Mount Logan Middle School through an AmeriCorps program. I believe all children have the ability to learn and grow if given the opportunity, and my focus is on helping students become lifelong learners. During my years of teaching I actively worked toward creating a classroom community where students felt comfortable interacting with each other, learning diverse skills and exploring new ideas. I look forward to working with families and helping all students create a path that will ensure they are successful in all their academic and social endeavors.

When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and pets, working on family history and doing a variety of crafts. I also love being outdoors. Before teaching I lived in Yellowstone National Park for 6 years where I was able to camp and hike on a regular basis.
