Elaina Westegaard is an educator with over twenty years in education. She has taught preschool through higher education, though she loves teaching elementary grades the most. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master of fine arts degree in creative writing. Elaina is passionate about inclusion, competency-based education, and project-based learning. She loves supporting students as they find their interests and strengths.
Elaina has many interests. When she’s not teaching, she’s pursuing one of many hobbies: dancing, crafting, reading, writing, baking, cooking, fishing, camping, gardening, thrifting, or snowboarding. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, and their several pets: two standard poodles, ten chickens, and a ball python. Her favorite color is green, her favorite season is fall, and her favorite food is potatoes, a close second is pies–both sweet and savory.
