Is Elevated Charter School the Right Fit for Me

Your Family Is Unique!

That means that your family’s educational needs are unique. That’s why you should find an education solution that fits each of your students so that they can grow and excel, while also meeting the needs of your family as a whole. Since you’re visiting us, you may be wondering, is Elevated Charter School a good fit for my student and family? To answer that, we'll ask you a few questions.

Does your student have a passion they want to pursue?

A passionate student  athlete or artist may find it overwhelming to keep up with the timetable of a traditional school. Most schools require daily, physical attendance or online check-ins, which can be challenging for a student with an ever-changing schedule. Wonderful opportunities to showcase their talents or compete in their craft may become more stressful than joyful if they’re worried about finishing a stack of homework. Here at Elevated Charter School, we support students who want to pursue their passions by providing flexibility. Every student receives a laptop for online learning that is embedded with 5G internet, making it easy to take a look at that Science lesson on the way to that out-of-town game or rehearsal. If your dedicated performer is swamped one week preparing for a competition or opening night, you won’t face a disgruntled teacher or patronizing admin. Your Elevated Cohort Teacher will work with you on a plan to catch up or adapt assignments if needed.

Does your family have an unusual schedule?

Not all moms and dads work a 9-to-5 job. Or sometimes it’s important to take a family trip to see grandma. Would you like a school where your student’s education doesn’t get derailed when you have special opportunities for family time? At Elevated, our model is built to require less time in a seat and more flexible learning activities that can be fit to meet your students’ needs as well as be a good fit with your family time.

Does your student love hands-on learning?

It’s normal for young kids to have trouble keeping their attention on a lecture. Elevated classes are not Zoom lectures. They are highly interactive, including hands-on learning. For a lot of little learners (and big learners too) hands-on learning keeps them engaged, helps them enjoy the learning process more, and helps them better retain information! Projects, presentations, and other hands-on learning strategies are a core part of every class at Elevated. (see our blog on parent engagement)

Does your student have special learning or health concerns?

Some students require more support than others. A struggling student shouldn’t be made to feel like a burden. Due to the close relationship that Cohort Teachers build with students and families, they can create a personalized learning plan to meet the needs of each student. We treat each student as an individual, and provide support sessions, one-on-one teacher meetings, and IEP/504 accommodations. We want to help your student learn how he/she best learns.

Is your student working above or below grade level?

Students who are struggling with the material for their grade level shouldn’t be left in the dust to try and figure it out on their own. When students feel as though they don’t measure up, it can be very discouraging. It can also be difficult when a student picks up material faster than their classmates and then waits and becomes bored. Our Elevated educational model is built to allow students to move at their unique pace. Elevated live online classes offer each subject separately, so that it’s easy for students to take the class that is the right level for them and progress forward at a challenging but not frustrating pace. Is your student ready to move up a level in one subject, no problem!

Does your family enjoy learning together?

It can be difficult to cultivate learning in the home when everybody is learning something completely different. Families can have synchronized learning across grade levels with Elevated Charter School. Each year, students in grades K-6 learn synchronized topics, at their appropriate grade level, which means that the whole family can share in learning more easily. Imagine your kids discussing an ancient civilization that they each learned about in their different Social Studies classes, or which plants are carnivorous that they each learned in their Science classes!
